Thom is a long term user and developer of Chef, having now implemented it in two greenfield sites. He has been involved in various open source communities for the last decade, including the Debian and Ubuntu Linux distributions and the Apache Software Foundation. He is currently Infrastructure Manager for Digital Science, a tech startup and incubator working to provide tools for researchers and scientific funders.
